I remember white dogwoods under the canopy of the forest. And on the ground, colorful wild azalea. And in the fall, the color of dogwood leaves turning a delicate brown enhancing the colors of other leaves changing. The berries from those white blossoms in the spring becoming food for birds and squirrels.
