Today I arose from a long deep slumber

Glad to be awake from the nightmare I had aimlessly wandered

I felt refreshed and at the same time I was hungry

As my eyes adjusted and I stretched my sluggish muscles

I was finally ready to start a new day

My stomach rumbled and ached

Desperately waiting to be fed after such a prolonged comatose state

I had to make sure that I chose my food wisely

I needed something to give me strength and not weigh down my body

After a hearty meal of truth and discernment

I was ready to face the day determined

So I

Hopped in the shower and cleansed myself for what seemed like hours

Realizing how much dirt you can acquire while just resting

Unaware that while you’re being still

Life’s debris still clings to your essence

Now I feel refreshed, cleansed and ready to take my next step

Only to find that I’m alone

I notice everyone else still in makeshift places

I find this as a chance to freely roam and explore my own designation

Now walking with God through the Journey to my manifest destination

No longer deceitfully confined to a futile mind that had me going crazy

Cause no matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t make it

Or how hard I fought my demons but just couldn’t escape it

How I was aching for real love but couldn’t find it or anything to replace it

Searching for my identity in a world of affliction

Asking for the answers in people who were going through the same

But they couldn’t hear me because they were clouded by their own pain

But now here I am peaceful and sane

Discovering my personality

Affirming my individuality

Isolated from propaganda that from birth was meant to kill my existence

Destroy my perseverance

Steal my hope faith and dreams leaving me inconsistent

Barren

A walking miscarriage

Stripped from my rightful power that God Himself proclaimed me

Now I’m taking it all back and this world can’t faze me

And now knowing who I am this world can’t ever change me

Clever and intelligent profession of you deep faith. It sure does conquer everything the worldly wise may try to aim.

Powerful poetic verses throughout. When we let The Lord in there is nothing He cannot do. Even with a broken vessel covered with doubt. Amen!

A powerful expression of determination. I hope you succeed beyond these words.
