Memory
Shadows of thoughts cast from my mind
Reeling in memories of past times.
I see you as if it was just moments ago.
Your face, your smile elaborating a bright glow.
Is it my mind playing tricks on me,
as you appear closer for me to see?
Yet I cannot physically hear you,
I see your lips moving, and talking too.
Your hands stretched out as if to reach,
but the distance from me to you seems too
much to breach.
Tears flow from my eyes,
As the memory of you flies by.
I stare upon your face with such glee,
hoping this moment will always be.
Suddenly I see you fade away,
but for me your memory will forever
stay.
