Monique has lived with our family for a number of years, always with her eyes open and at attention!

We have this guest
We invited home
We gave her a spot
So she wouldn’t be alone

You see she is stiff
And a little forlorn
We would like to see
Her form a personality of her own

We give her nice clothes
and she looks quite charming
she’s a beautiful ole’ gal
but some thinks she’s alarming

why when guests come to visit
our home and relax
they either ignore her
or ask, “who is that?”

we’d like to explain
her presence here
but if they ignore her
we know they have fear

you see we are strange ones
having Monique hang around
but we like the ole’ girl
because she doesn’t make a sound!

She doesn’t mind
If we give her a job
Like watching over the hot tub
Or just to hang with the lot

Of the people who gather
And have a good time
She always looks dapper
She’s one of a kind

So please do acknowledge her
She’s sweet and she’s kind
Even though she is quiet
Since there’s nothing on her mind!
