Impalpable Moments

Impalpable Moments
        
There is nothing better
than this moment—
as the morning sun wakes the world
with its simple chattels.

Silvery dewdrops glisten
mystically on  leaves, emerald blades,
and vibrant petals blushed
in different shades.

Spider web skeletons
shimmer
in a  three dimensional
liquid maze.

Time silently passes
and sunrays leisurely reach inward
vaporizing dew-droplets
to fresh scents slowly inhaled.

Nearby birds chirp
gracefully rejoicing the diminishing
of a shadowy night 
and a squirrel stands silently
like a British Guard
wearing its bearskin,
protective of its newfound
treasure, a crowned acorn.

Speechless, I observe in awe
of how effortlessly morning light
gives naissance to life.

Birdsong is special to me in the morning this Spring. It means new life and sounds so peaceful when I wake up to the mockingbird, the woodpeckers, the robins tweedling and whatever else is out there. I know I am alive and have nature surrounding me. You described your morning so alive too.
