Look at these stars! They are rushing to us
Like quarreling pigeons awaiting for food.
They fight for the kisses we've thrown to the grass
And wandering footsteps you've left in the wood.
Now tell them the things you are saying to me;
That people grow older and feelings decay.
Say you don't love me and then you will see
That all of the mooncrocks will beg you to stay.
Go on and destroy those, who love you the most.
Despite all the bridges you're ready to burn
I'll come every night to this place on the coast
And stars will be waiting for you to return.
You say to yourself you approve what you do,
You can disregard every evening and kiss,
But me and the stars will be waiting for you.
We'll never believe you can leave us like this.
A beautiful but sad write. Some never realize what they have until they have it no more. They can miss their mark by an inch or by ten feet but either way they missed it. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
I liked this, but it seemed a little bumpy in places. For instance, "awaiting for food" seemed just a tad clunky. I think you can do better. I KNOW you can do better. Ok... feel free to hate me. JD
