I Love you always, son. R.I.P.

I-S-A-A-C.....

ISAAC...

what could you possibly have been thinking

when you opted out, without even a good-bye

not a phone call, a glance, a kiss or a hug

nor a long loving stare eye-to-eye

could you possibly have dared to think

we wouldn’t notice you were gone

did you assume things would go on as usual

as though nothing had gone wrong

how could you just leave us all behind

to cry for the rest of our days

leaving no note, unanswered questions, no clues

just broken-hearts and our ill-focused gaze

were you angry at us all?

or deeply hurting and in despair?

why didn’t you come and talk to us

you acted like you thought we didn’t care

what were you thinking?

we would never, ever relate?

you’ve seen our tears and heard our pain

you’ve witnessed each of us in a broken state

didn’t you trust us enough

to know we’d always be there

with loving hearts and open arms

and most of all our prayer

you treated us all like strangers

you retreated and went the other way

 you’ve devastated our lives forever

you’ve left us fighting to feel Okay

you’ve taken your smile, your laughter too

we’ll never see or hear it again

you were more than just a family member

you've also cheated us of a friend

Now your pain is all gone

but ours has just begun

did you even stop to think of our pain

over what you have now  done?

you stole our privilege to be your strength

during your desperate time of need~

you never even asked us for help

you simply left us here to grieve

all we have now is our final good-bye's

and on deaf ears they will fall

we’ll spend holidays and vacations missing you

what you’ve done was unfair to us all

Nevertheless we all Love You

til the very last breath we all take~

already we miss you like crazy~

but we’ll see you again at heavens gate

Very touching. You suffered a great loss and the depth of your sorrow is clearly expressed in this poem. Only God knows how hard it has been. God bless and continue to comfort you.

SyD, my heart goes out to you. I know how this feels, my daughter's boyfriend was killed in a car accident three years ago. He was like a son to me. I still hear his laugh, and see his beautiful smiling eyes. He was a police officer in a major city, and still the pain continues to haunt all of our loved ones. Your son, is peaceful now, resting and not in pain any longer. He is truly at peace. Know this, and find some peace yourself. I look to the heaven's everyday and say hello to my daughter's boyfriend, I know he is there looking out after all of us, and so is Isaac to your family. He was a beautiful boy and a special soul.
Much peace, love, and light to you dear SyD.

I am sorry for your loss... I, too, lost a son although he was only a baby. My poem "Picture of Health" tells his story. The pain never fully goes away... but peace eventually comes to abide if we allow Him in.

I am so sorry for you loss. I am a mother of five, and lost a son when he was nineteen years old. It's been four years since he's past away, and although I have my faith, there are times when the hurt is still there as though it happened only yesterday, but we have the comfort of knowing that we will be together once again.
