These are memories of the church we went to years ago.
As children we went to church proud of ourselves.
With a smile on my and my sister's face.
Mom sewed our dresses of blue.
We had white Easter bonnets and black patten shoes.
Our older brother had a new brown suit.
We sung as the Pastor played, his back and white Accoridion.
We learned about Jesus.
The old wooden white, windows were raised to the top.
Heat filled the room, as fans were use with a flick of the wrist.
My black patten shoes made a loud noise on the back of the pew, as the pastor prayed.
One day as I was praying, as a child, it seemed so real.
I knew Jesus was there. His peace was so real.
I don't get to church as much as I'd like - mankind's doctrines and rules have changed the message - but I still believe and try to read my Bible. Best education on how to live! LOL Still, beautiful memories in these lines, thank you.

I have many pleasant memories of my Catholic childhood spent at Mass; however, in high school, I found Jesus, and now I go to church every week. I go to an Assembly of God church now, quite different from my Catholic upbringing, but I definitely feel Jesus's Presence there! :) I get so much out of church!
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
