The love between them was meant to awaken,
passion, that death has since sadly forsaken.

Far too many missed hours lived in fear,
have turned into long decades of forgotten years.

A knight’s courage always came with such regret,
their lives freely given for their king, too protect.

Heartbroken a maiden sits alone, by the hearths’ empty fire;
she languishes, within her own hearts’ lost desire.

Tears slide down a cheek, the heart cannot lie,
memories of her lost love, has lead to another silent cry.
