Shoes fight each other
Trying to get attention!
Sitting back
Looking at it all
Life is good!
With all these beauties
Human nature still hunts
For more!
Crazy to believe,
But human nature is greedy
Grabbing and grabbing
Ears become deaf
To the voice of caution

Anita, I enjoyed every line in this writing, you brought things to life that I had never thought about. I truly loved the last verse...life is so short but when we are young and foolish we just live life as though it will last an eternity. A nice poem.
I liked the imagery coming from your closet. Very cute. Anyway, greed is a survival instinct. It is something that evolved into us. If we hoard all the water or the food, then we insure our offspring will survive versus our neighbors. Then a few thousand years ago we started working cooperatively, that evolutionary process is still making its way through humanity, but evolution takes time. ~ Sara
