My heart bleeds for the Devoss family,
hit by a drunk driver driving the wrong way.
On a Kentucky freeway a little over a month ago killing them all!
You have no right to stop us,
while we are yet in bloom!
We could have been a teacher,
astrologist, doctor, scientist-
mayor president or astronaut!
And fly way beyond the moon.
You have no right to take our life!
Because you get high and drunk,
cause your life is plagued with blight!
You and your selfish rights,
completely destroyed our life!
My wife, daughters and son,
never will they glisten again,
in the bright morning sun!
They can't reach their highest,
potential you see,
you stole that from us,
our lives and liberty!
My children won't go to college,
and get that Masters degree!
You gave them the grave,
no longer will they be free!
My wife the doctor she can't heal,
me the lawyer can't set,
the innocent people free!
That is horrible what you took,
from the Devos family!

bows her head sadly and prays!
Please dear God Holy Father above,
grant the Devos family,
your comfort favor and love!
And the horror that happened here,
banished back to hell its origin,
and never ever reappear!
We hear of these tragedies almost daily. Automatic driving cannot come too soon. Those who drink lose their sense of propriety and often do things that they regret later. Taking them out of the equation like those free rides on holidays is essential to preventing terrible tragedies like this.
You reminded me of the tragedy that befell my girlfriend's stepsister on 99 in California. She was driving with a friend and had both of their babies in car seats behind them in the backseat. Her nine-year-old son was riding the middle. A car came across the median and hit their car head-on in a fireball. Somehow, the nine-year-old boy escaped, but my girlfriend's sister, her friend, and both their babies, died. Alcohol may have been involved. I don't know.
Definitely a tragic event that no one should ever have to experience. In this day and age, there is no excuse for driving while intoxicated. I'm not sure if the drunk driver was also killed, but if he survived, I hope he was held accountable to the full extent of the law.
