Sidney was like lilies in the fields,
a pure heart and the brother was real.
He taught himself how properly to speak,

Poitier believed to get ahead,

He grew up in the Bahamas born in Miami,
never saw a car wore clothes-
made from flour sacks,
nor looked in a mirror,
no tasted ice cream,
through it all the boy still dreams!
He had his trials father move to Nassu,

keeping Sidney from scrimmages trouble,
his dad Reginald came up with a plan.

had no problem help raising the lad.
