In silence God speaks to our spirit.
Especially to His children!
We all need a place to call our own.
A place where we could be free,
from all the humdrum of the world,
and yet in the world at the same time.
Our own private sanctuary.
Somewhere in silence,
somewhere in peace,
somewhere immersed in love!
Then and only then
you will know how to be still,
and know that I am God!
Michael, this is a soul touching poem. So beautiful and so true. We must come apart and rest a while from the world and its distractions. Lovely poem. Thank you for the reminder.
You gave me thought about all the people who don't have peace in this world. So many in Ukraine waiting for the next missile or bomb. And even more around the world under a war threat. So many without a home, seeking asylum where none is given. It will take more than praying to give them all sanctuary and peace.
Right now we are under a three day freeze threat. Churches have opened shelters for the elderly and disabled who do not have adequate heat to come to a warm place where there is plenty of food and drink, and, during this Christmas time, perhaps some caroling in good joy.
In "A Touch of Your Presence" are words that would inspire, encourage and strengthen one's soul when faced with challenges and difficulties and to know the awesomeness of God's power.
