Last day of July is near,
this month is almost out of here.
Should I smile or maybe fear,
Summer is nearly gone prolonged!
A few more hot day still here.
Days are shorter nights grow longer,
Hungry tummy hearts are stronger.
Whatever tWeather comes my way,
Just so thankful for every day,
sun so bright still leads the way!
Let us enjoy the weathers bliss,
Come here summer give me a kiss!
Love your last line. Summer certainly can be a blessing or a curse. But I think you'll have to wait September for the heat to let up.
"Hot down, summer in the city, backa my neck gettin’ dirty and gritty…" Reminds me of old Detroit. I hope you have AC now during these hot summers in new Detroit.
Here in Houston, August will be hotter than July. They are predicting over 100° for every day for the next two weeks. An all-time record hot. Except for the most unfortunate, most of us have air conditioning. But everybody tries to get their business done in the morning.
