Oh earth how do you glisten.
through peace silently listens,
songbirds sing cluster on high,
in a magnificent boundless sky.
Infinite drops of water to seas,
white tipped crystal rolling foam,
embellishing gently Mother earth,
tides moving ebb and flow on and on.
As she reveals some style,
at you with warmth she smiles.
The bellowing ferocious wind,
aims at soft puffy white snow,
myriads of foot prints come and go!
Soothe by the morning light,
this aching and lonely heart,
joyous and beautifully bright.
Spring besets us forward and aft.
New life pushes through the ground,
crocuses or bush maybe a fruit tree,
fragrances carried world around.
Lightning bugs their twilight love!
Wow suddenly the rain,
black birds fly hurriedly,
has Summer bypassed Spring?
Should there be retrogression,
when life is right before us,
to reconfigure at will!
Tis sad and sort of strange,
some things cannot be changed,
like rose's beauty withers and dies,
while years quickly pass us bye.
Our hair white like Winters first snow,
unwillingly back to earth we go!
Everyday wonderfully beautiful,
so triumph each second in life,
good things perish never,
they establish create forever.
The choice has always been yours,
O tis not a revolution,
Mother earth smiles at you,
in he constant evolution!
I don't know how I missed this one. So glad you pointed it out to me.
You have shown us the wonder and beauty that evolution has brought to our wonderful planet. Every movement of the sun and the moon has parts of our planet adapting to the flow and rhythm over millions of years creating all the beauty that you state, dies after its annual season, but reappears when that season comes back around.
All animals including us, die, too. But our progeny lives on carry on what humans do to either preserve or destroy the beauty of our wild, wild place we live in.
Your poem was a real inspiration for me this morning.
This book consists of a 150 pages of Christian poetry about the end of time and the Second coming of Jesus Christ not as a servant but as a King, the King of kings. To bring righteousness and peace to the earth and restore the government of God! Peac
