Tell me about love Is it about commitment? Relief from resentment Or past hurts Tell me please No more tease Tell me about life Is it about faith? What saithe Those more wise Random events frighten me Let me see Tell me about wisdom Is it about maturity? Or security From doubt and fear Show me the way Let me not stray Tell me about hope Is it about optimism? In the face of pessimism From doubt and negativity Give me a sign Before I resign

each verse (love, life, wisdom, hope) seems to be supplemented with a sense of reserve or careful speculation about potential outcome, to the point, where i sense a bit of negativity in the poem's entirety ... not that that's a bad thing, just an observation ...
