After endless days of relentless rain, I was met with an unexpected and magical treat this morning...

Poem Artwork

After The Rain....

Lush greenery sun-studded with a thousand glistening stars.

Luxuriant Lilacs wafting their sweet Springtime fragrance to the breeze.

rain-flattened Tulips offer me a wild riot and explosion of rain-soaked hues
magnificent and vivid as an unexpected Rainbow.

Masses of Bluebells carefree once more are playful within dancing sunbeams.

I kick off my shoes luxuriating in the rain-drenched grass as I wander my garden of amazing transformation,
blissfully absorbing Nature's fulsome beauty, bounty and eternal energy

...NIRVANA...

Nirvana indeed. Lost in the beauty of your happy place. Where the rain not only magnified the beauty, but washes away the stress of the day. So, you can become one with the beauty and peace found in your little bit of heaven. Everyone needs such a place.

Nice to indulge all of those wonderful flowers, for one; second, to take all those aspects in and turn them into such a nice poem is ever more enjoyment. Like a snapshot of a passing moment for your future revisits and for others to enjoy.

Looking down at the list of reviews of your poem, After The Rain, Diana, it seems that it is very popular and well loved by many people, and I can understand why. I particularly like your line about the "rain flattened Tulips".

What a blessing to have our senses in order enjoy all that you have described to us within this piece. Ah, the lilacs. Nothing can surpass their fragrance for me. As a child, I would voluntarily go out and pick lilacs off the bush in our yard for my mother. She, in turn, would put them in a vase, replenish their broken spirit with cold water, and the fragrance of lilacs would eminate throughout our small home for several days. Such sweet memories. Thank you, Diana. I can't believe it has taken me almost an entire year to respond to this lovely piece. Forgive me.

Hugs,

David

Very vivid and colorful.
It's been cold and icy with lots of snow here where I'm at,
So this was refreshingly warm poetry to read.

I love how you captured the new moment Diana.
It is one thing to express ourselves when we feel
pain from life's unfortunate experiances, and just as importantly,
as you have done so masterfully, and captured the precious beauty
offered to the dawn and your eyes, on the aftermath the rain.
Sweet, sweet, sweet!

Love and peace forever

Rain cleans and refreshes everything in our world and allows us a new appreciation of all things in our life, especially flowerful gardens.

And it also provides a platform of experience so that if we suffer and endure a deluge of rain in our social and emotional life, we are able to hang onto the hope of a better and more fulfilling life, our spirit refreshed with the knowledge that our life once again will know "fulsome beauty, bounty and eternal energy."

Isn't rain one of God's most magnificent gifts?

My dearest Diana, I know well that you have known times of rain in your life; and so it is a blessing from God to know that you also can see what is possible, "After The Rain."

With a loving heart,
Richard

You have a mass of colour in the flowers in your garden, Diana. Flowers always give a lift to how one feels. Rain flattened tulips - poor tulips though a good description. Rainbows

By your vivid description of your garden you have a plethora of beautiful to the eye and sensuous to the nose flowers.
