Every once in a while, I take the time to appreciate and meditate on who my mother is to me.
My Mother, To Me My mother, to me You are a guiding light, A protection from storms In the middle of the night. My mother, to me You are a gentle rose, Scents of self-sacrifice Rise up to my nose. My mother, to me You are a faithful friend, Loyalty and endurance That never end. My mother, to me You are a talented writer, For justice and truth Forever a fighter. My mother, to me You are lovely and bold, Strong, sensible and Beautiful to behold. By Suzanne Leavitt September, 2009
