The Conflict

The world today a snake pit of conflicts based on what one says

To be at odds with another human over the divergence of humanity

As if one particular race, color or creed

Had a worshippers patent over another’s deity

Psychological religious convictions, be it institutionalized or personal

Are again to be played on a world stage

But, still not getting past the dress rehearsal

So go ahead and Babyl-on, until it’s all gone

Buddhism, Christianity, Islamism, Judaism, Atheism

Which in this world can truly say they have claim

While starvation, genocide, homicide and war run rampant

On whose belief shall we place the blame

The existence of the truth; who’s truth, my truth, their truth,

our truth, his truth,

Buried in the lies of whose story, my story, their story,

our story, his-story

Opinions concerning the worship and existence of a divine

Conflicting with the human nature of claiming all as mine!

With the truth already discovered at an archeological find.

Is our all seeing mind so blind.

 Release the truth,

it belongs to all of mankind

I found true peace within the hidden walls of Christianity. I studied the holy scriptures and learned to love my neighbors. But being surrounded by one particular race was too much to ask of me, as they had always played the bad guys. Can you guess what race that was?
