Once upon a time,
Quite some time ago,
My world came crashing down,
And my mind devoured me,
And through these eyes I could see
The darkness drawing in the light.

Deceived by my own thoughts
Alls those days when I was distraught.
And deep inside my head,
I knew that I would soon be dead.
Just waiting for that time,
Then I’d commit my crime
To sacrifice my life,
Upon the blade of a knife.

My blood to stain my skin,
Then I knew how wrong I’ve been,
I did not get what I’d intend,
And my mind would not comprehend.
My tears kept streaming,
My words Receding,
And yet there was I, still bleeding.

My disease in which I was feeding.
There was nothing I could have said,
Inside I still felt completely dead.
There was no light for me ahead,
To grasp and pull in tight.
Oh, what I have done that night…

Then those who loved me so,
Reached out and helped me grow.
And over time I left it all behind.
And through these eyes the sun will shine,
As it did, once upon a time.

i just want to say thank you to everyone who helped get through what I did, your all angels and gems in my life. ~Jessi
