Her birthday isn't until January 18, but this poem came to me this morning. Just so she knows how much we all love her. I plan to celebrate her birthday all month.
THE PASTOR’S WIFE
We’ve come to love you
As we do
We feel your love
For us too.
You stand beside your husband proud
You’re always there lost in the crowd
Quiet and unassuming grace
The Lord smiles upon your face
We’ve always known
Your servants heart
That’s why we’ve loved you
From the very start.
You lead our children
And grown them strong
Your love and charm
You keep them all
Safe from harm
We love you Char
And thank God this day
For bringing you here
To love you and to pray.
A birthday is a special time
To tell you how we feel
On this great day we share
We love your quiet zeal.
We thank the Lord above
For the plans He had for you
We thank you once again
For making them come true .

But I think it's important to know that if there's something in your heart, it should be shared. Psychiatrists refer to this as "stroking." I think it's common sense.
"The Pastor's Wife" is a timely and important message. And thank you, Kathryn, for sharing the message with us all.
The Pastor's Wife is a very heartfelt poem. I liked these lines very much:

It's words such as this that help make relationships grow.
