HAITI

My prayer for the people in Haiti, may they find a little comfort from all the agony they are experiencing

 

I look into your vacant eyes

And wish that I could hold

Your tiny body in my arms

Include you in my fold.

 

Your tear stained cheeks

The tattered clothes you wear

I’m praying for you child

Someone to show they care

 

My Father is watching over you

In His arms he’ll take and shield

I know that doesn’t help right now

If only you were healed.

 

You wake up in the morning

You slept along the road

You hope to find some shelter

Your family, someone to hold.

 

I pray for your healing

I pray for peace at last

I pray for all the comfort

That help will come en masse

 

My eyes are full of tears right now

For all my family

I’m praying for my brothers

Who live in Haiti
