Moonlight Meditation

Misty, silver light

Paints the forest before me

With mystical hues.

I stare in wonder

At the colors the full moon

Blesses me with.

‘Tis almost

Bright as day, and yet,

I feel muffled

In a cocoon of fuzzy fog.

I watch tree branches

Dance in the breeze.

Their shadows

Make intricate patterns

On silvered grass below.

I focus on this

Kaleidoscope,

And my mind

Becomes

One with the night.

I open like

A Moonflower.

Joining with the Universe,

Joy bubbles up inside me.

Freedom

From the daily hurdles

Has come.

I am

One with God,

And all is well.
