Out past the limits of myself Beyond the wall that is my soul I have a love of God's outdoors Which helps to keep me whole I have a love of Mother Earth Strong and deep and undefined It keeps my troubled spirit calmed And helps to stabilize my mind A rambling river rolling past The evening cry of some lost loon Is like my soul ship's strong main mast Standing steadfast 'neath the moon And 'though I sail a shaky ship On troubled seas inside of me With Mother Nature on the trip I'll make that final port-you'll see!

This is beautiful John, but I sense a bit of sadness in your last couple poems. All the same, it's touching.
