I opened my eyes and the Sun screamed, GOOD MORNING!!
He welcomed me with warmth and brightness to the beginning of a brand NEW DAY
Brother Sun I whispered, half awake, half asleep, why so bright and bubbly
Do you know something that I should know and don’t

Yes silly Sister, he answered with a wide beaming grin
It’s a new day, a new beginning
Come let me give you a tour

Look at the Daffodils
As they blow gently in the wind
Listen as the sparrows sing
Have you ever heard such a beautiful song
As I tried to answer he shushed me
Quiet my little one, hear the melody of the morning
Listen closely as your own heart answer with its own melodious response
Does that not bring a smile to you face

See all the little children as they too join in the harmony
It’s a new beginning, a new day
The night dew has washed away all that was of yesterday
Everything is fresh sparkling and new
Come now my little one
