I hear the sound of the wind
But before I do the trees have already began their dance
Every kind, every size
Moving to their own beat
The beat of their drum
I can see from the way they move their heads
Each one feeling a different rhythm
Each hearing a different melody
Some move their heads as if bowing
Bowing to the wind in humble adulation
While others move from side to side
Not knowing how best to express their joys.
I hear the sound of the wind
But before I do
The trees have began to dance
Beckoning me to follow their lead
To let my hear down
Give my feet permission to move
And my body to sway
I hear the sound of the wind
But before I do
I see the trees dancing
Yes I think I will join in the dance
Yes I can feel the wind
