( Peace.)

Poem Artwork

When human beings are ended,

and WE truly ALL are gone,

and our legacy's descended deep into far and beyond.

When the birds of the air nest free from care,

when trees grow everywhere for wild-life to share.

THERE, under soft sweet rain,

abundant fruit,and grain.

No weapons left causing pain,

no hate or war ever again.

When the world is safe,

and a flourishing place,

when every trace of US is gone,

when there's no CREED of RIGHT and WRONG

there and then can Peace belong.

Reminds me of John Lennon's imagine. Sometimes it's better to dismantle what people consider to be, civilization, in order to be civil. It is strange that John chose to live in Manhattan where even the park is man-made.

Did you notice that you wrote, "when every trace of US is gone." Things probably would be a lot better if US (United States of America) was gone. Australia would do just fine.

I truly hope mankind will know peace, before we face extinction, and cockroaches rule the earth.

The world has been at wars ever since its primitive days, and I don't think it is going to stop. Humans are too competitive with each other, and too much greed. They won't stop at fighting each other. Too sad!

I don't think we will ever see, "When the world is safe," I hope that we will, but it is very doubtful. You penned a wonderful message within your poem.

I am so "completely" with you on this, Kay. Completely. I have always felt it as thus you state. Love, peace, blessings, and best wishes to you.
