This poem has been translated by Carlo Zuccarini. The original poem, Tribute to Fishermen, was written in English and has been on my website for a few weeks. Since many of my readers speak Italian or have relatives who do not understand English, I had it translated for them.

Come uno scialle, il sole ti avvolge e ti ripara dalla forza del vento e delle onde;

Dear Joanna,

What a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do--thanks, even though I can't read a word, I have read it in english. Hmm . . . I think.
