Gazing into the eyes of the Old Is it true you can see back all the way to the beginning ? Sometimes it seems that way Nestled somewhere in their mind are ancestors they never met Is that how God seeks to join the living and the dead? Perhaps when a newborn looks into the eyes of his grandmother He sees the eyes of all those who have gone before Something to ponder -- Something to wonder about We'll never know .... by the time that babe says his first word That magical moment has been lost forever. Hi Susan, a very insightful write!!!! Always something to ponder... when i looked into the eyes of my newborn grandchildren, and they gazed contentedly back at me, it was like they knew me and all would be well.. a connection that lasts forever, but lost forever if missed. Thank you for such a ponderance....

I have seen and felt a lot of deaths in my life and I am only consoled by the smiles of first my children and now my grandchildren. I told my brother when my father died any time he wanted to see them all he had to do was look into the eyes of his baby boy and he would see them...I believed that then and I believe it today.
