Solitude's Fist

Thoughts from the crucible...

In solitude's fist,
Pounded by obsidian dream,
Insolvant hope grows cold.
Dragged from an anvil of shadow,
I am quenched in crimson tides.

Regret has lodged
In the thin tissues of reason,
A wounded beast demanding
The mercy of Death.
But I have truth in the crucible.

Life is defiance,
a treasury of pain,
And like a phoenix,
I love the hotest flame,
a flickering door to something new
.

Profound & inspiring write, your word choice paints a vivid picture full of hope for the mortality of man, in short flesh & bone will turn to dust but the spirit survives! well done!

I join the others' reviews -- the imagery here is colorful, powerful. Nicely done.
