Shalom
Ode to Mim
c2013, Jim Stewart
Shalom, My friend, Shalom
My menorah is missing a candle.
A voice has been silenced
Yet it is still heard.
But, I have had the pleasure
Of knowing this voice.
I am proud to have been a vagabond visitor
On your journey through life.
The memories might be failing
But, The pictures are bright and clear.
I will grieve for myself, My loss
And celebrate your new life.
Knowing that you are still beating a drum
And realizing, Your Verdante.
This brings a smile to my face.
Shalom, My Friend, Shalom.
