Daddy and Daughter

There's something that I see all the time between my husband and our daughter...something that we don't have....something I dont have over him....he, man of "mean" to many things, has accidentally been wrapped around her little pinky.

Big man "mean",
you stand so strong.
Stubborn and brave
you do no wrong.

Fists of stone
ches of steel
great power tower
you make no deals.

Battling blood
Irish genes.
Always fighting
everything.

BUT-

I know your weakness.
Great villians have flaws.
Although you tower he sky,
something crumbles your all.

She's covered in pink
lace in her hair.
Big daddy "mean".....
can only stare.

Daughter so jeweled
her power can steal
the heart of her father
and make it her meal.

Tower comes down
eye level at best.
"whatever you want, baby girl"
his heart is her dress.

Daddy be strong.
Daughters are skin.
ABle to protect and shield
and puncture within.

Nothing can equal
the love of a daughter....
some magical bonding or
a miraculous slaughter.

The giant has an achilles heal and can only be brought down by a bundle of pink. You my lady are gifted. Keep writing girl let that heart open wide and let all flow out. You are on you way. Love, Bonnie

You are so right on with this one, when as a young man I would stand up to the biggest man in the bar take more punches than a body should but never flinch or cry out but if my daughter was upset tears would fell my eyes like rain.
