I actually did this during one of my creative writing classes at Yavapai College.
Hello to Terrance Pratt if he is reading this.
The Others
And they watched you from beyond
Their eyes yellow from beyond, and they are watching
Their teeth decaying and their eyes yellow from beyond, are watching.
Your heart beats and they watch you
You scream, your heart beats, and they watch you.
You feel the clenching fear, and they watch you.
When you run, they watch you.
When you sleep, they watch you.
When you are alone, they watch you.
For they are all around you
And they watch you.
Who is it that watches us. I know of noone but God that does all that. Good thinking though for a poem while you were studying in college. Glad you took time out to write it.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
