lol! You've nailed it on this one! My thoughts exactly! I really hate the time change part why dont they just leave time alone and let it do what it does! :) Enjoyed it and thanks for sharing! :)
I can remember when there was no time change in the spring or the fall. But men being men decided that since it got ligher earlier and stayed lighter later that we should have a time to reflect that. I am an extra class amateur radio operator and we go by UTC or universal time coordinated. In UTC there is no time change, and 6:00pm is 0 hour with 7pm being 0100 hours.
Daylight savings time is what I call false time because it is actually man made time and not solar time.
I agree with Sherry that we should just have one time. Daylight savings time should go the way of disco because it has outlived it's usefullness. Let's go back to the time when the only time we had was was solar time, or as near to it as we can get on our clocks anyway.

I never got used to the clocks going back last October... now I can't believe it's as late as it is since the clocks went forward again a few weeks' ago. Guess I'm destined to be continually out of sync. Tight writing here, Sherry, which just goes to show that sleepless and grumpy is also good for the inner muse! :))
Just also want to say how sorry I am that you have first-hand experience of some despicable inhumanity, Sherry. I do hope my writing on the subject has not rubbed new salt into old wounds. You are such an amazingly resiliant, strong and beautiful woman in body, mind and soul. Doubtless your hardships have also helped to forge and galvanise your personal immortal beauty of which you can never be robbed and which will always remain unsullied. If all clocks were set to GMT, then they'd be no-need for time zones, no jet lag and you'd be asleep now at 01:30.
Classic. We actually forgot and I got very late putting up my poem. My afternoon commute changes dramatically with the time change. In the fall all those lasiked eyes drive into the sun at the Loop, creating a crawl, especially those who can't see after dark racing the sunset home.
Love it Sheri and as a retiree now I know what you mean but can we skip the time zones too, as the electronic age of cyber communications expands waiting all day to talk to someone from yesterday just confuses me all to hell..lol
