My beloved Mother, Doris Elizabeth, goes in for surgery tomorrow. At 94 years, things could go either way... She looks so fragile, but her courage and strength of character are fully intact!

*~Poised~* Beloved Mother Edge of earthy life beckons thee How your Spirit glows Calmly poised with wings spread wide Illumined Soul to guide thy flight Embrace that vast unknowable manifest With thy state of Grace My heart falters so! Bracing for your final flight Joined evermore with that elusive Other Oh precious Mother of mine Do guide those you leave behind For uncertain still are our steps In this world of foolish madness Yes lofty realms beckon from beyond Calmly poised are thee with wings spread wide Readied for that final flight Peace be with you evermore Beloved Mother of mine...
