It is season of plenty and a time when the hard work of harvest is over as people gather around the fire and share experience and wisdom. It is the dark season after when it turns colder and the stores of harvest spoil or run out that death descends upon the weak.

So the season you have described must be savored for it may be one's last.

Love the season. Not the awful commercialization of it, but how it causes the sensory-faculty to shift, and, how the inclination, then, is to quiet the spirit and listen.
