Misalignment

Brand new, out-of-the box,

scattered on life's table top,

  designer PuZZle pieces,

entitled, "The Marriage Game."

Scooped up, one-by-one,

Each piece, pushed side-by-side,

from bottom to top,

to frame a picture on life's tabletop.

Forced, ill-fitting pieces,

emitted culminating vapors of

denial,

angry, 

fear,

and doubt, 

infidelity's breeding ground...

temptations on the mount.

Attempts at rotating misery

to pump life back in, failed.

Ever present, like ground-in dirt,

pain's fragmented pieces, prevail.
