Midnight Magic

This man taught me a great deal about how unfair life really is. And it's not personal. It's just a crapshoot, and a poor assortment of sociopaths for friends.

 

Seal,
He calls himself.
Sleek, polished,
Moving through air
Like his namesake
Moves through water.
A fluidity of motion,
Curve of arm,
Tilt of head,
An invitation, or
A hint of something ancient
From a desert oasis,
A taste of ripe figs
And sweet palm wine.
A smoky voice,
Smoldering eyes,
A perfect frame of ebony
Begging to be stroked,
Bragging desire.
His sensuality
Is almost painful.
How beautiful
To hurt so softly.
 
Seal, he calls himself.
Slipping like silk
Through the blackness
Of the night,
No wake giving llie
To where he’s going
Or where he’s been.
