My homage to Madonna, whom I believe to be one of the greatest performers of our lifetime.

 

This generation has
A new Marilyn,
Bright mouth,
Velvet obscenity,
Taking chances,
Asking the right questions,
Getting the wrong answers,
Turning blind corners.
Thumbing her nose
            At convention,
                        Hand to tuxedoed crotch.
 
Yes, girlfriend!
 
                        Sing for us.
