Dear Lord, there is a friend of mine that I hold now, oh so dear.
May you always be with her all throughout her year.
Whenever she feels down, whenever she’s alone.
Hold in your loving arms safe and close to home.
And Lord if she is hurting. And if she is distressed.
Come and shower her with light.
Make her ever blessed.
When she wakes to start her day, help her to be right.
Dropping to her knees to pray.
And walking in the light.
In her darkest night…Lord Jesus get her through.
Lift her higher than her circumstance…
Lift her up to You.
When Lord, with my brothers, as one we start to pray…
A million angels surround her God.
And help her on her way.
And Jesus when her day ends.
And all her work is done.
Help her to relax right now.
Talking with the Son.
But Lord Jesus when she sleeps.
Soundly in the night.
Hold her in your loving arms.
And keep her in your light.
