It's simply trying to show live and let live, and not to be trapped by the beliefs of others.

If beauty is seen with the eye let it rest
I could feel the tension, but not in my chest

I heard her scream over floods of people
"I won't be crucified at the top of that steeple!"

With every bit of cunning and ease
She jumped over the edge into the seas

As I watched this scene unfold
I realized she was in total control

A leap of fate or precise planning
Not knowing her life was what they were banning

She let the silence become a deafening sound
Running on water and floating over ground

Shouts broke out from the flood behind
As her body met sea and intertwined

"I can't believe this, is it real?"
They asked questions but didn't feel

She broke the surface and continued to swim
They all watched as the sun began to dim

As the moon cast it's light on the sea below
They saw her dancing in the fire glow

I heard her scream over the crashing waves
"You better honor the ones that are brave!"

This is worthy of pause for reflection... ...and when one realizes s/he is finished reading, s/he is compelled to read again and "get" what you are expressing via your verses. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes,

Regis
