Two in the morning, I can't sleep.
Infomercials fill the TV, with items so cheap.
I grab up my notebook, and think of what to write,
Before I realize what I'm doing, my pen takes flight.
I start drawing a doodle, without paying attention,
Until I looked down and saw what was my invention.
Blue circles, all over the page.
Must mean something, deep within my rage.
It has some sort of meaning, this drawing I created,
Everything in my life, blue circles were unrelated.
So why?
Must I,

I didn't notice, but I kept my pen moving.
I wasn't quite sure, if the thought was improving.
After so many circles, I created a big dot,
I wonder why this doodle remained in thought,
Blue circles all over the page,
Must mean something deep within my rage.
I can't quite figure out, what this sketch implies,
but I'll stop thinking for now, I must rest my eyes.
I put away, the blue circles all over the page,
Still don't know, if it's deep within my rage,
Those blue circles.

(sarah) this thomas thing is really bugging me! anyhow, kaci, this poem is really cute, i don't know what those darned blue circles mean but i hope its something good!
Whatever those circles meant, they were obviously a means of focusing your creativity. Us writers are a funny breed. We each have our own methods of bringing out what's inside. Sometimes we don't always understand it, but as long as it works for you why complain? I like this poem.

U are in transition, not confusion. Isn't it interesting that an awakening of one's self occurs at the oddest of hours. U are blooming & branching out. Very eclectic!!!
i don't know what those blue circles mean, kaci, but they must have meant something to you, to keep you awake at night. i sometimes draw or write in the middle of the night because something pops in my head, and i have to get it down on paper (plus my arthritis usually wakes me up, and i also have to take a pill or two to ease the pain!). good write, kaci!! love, and ((HUGS)), your friend, karen lynn.
