I met a friend, Jonathan. You know one of those Godly designs you can't miss. He was certainly NOT the usual "boy-meets-girl-are-we-going-to-have-sex someday" kind of encounter. Just Genuine friendship that is rare these days between a boy and a girl. It reminded me that we are all Gods creation whether we beleive it or not. We feel special on our Birthdays and on our wedding day but when we pass, its sad because someone special is gone.We may or may not live to our greatest potential but we live enjoy that gift of life that God gas given to us freely. Jonathan has a personality beyond human description. Despite all the life threating illnesses he has been through, He still choses to make the most of the life he as here on earth and make sure he gives back to those who are still coming in. CHILDREN. www.discoverthejourney.org He reminded me of who we are as a human race and what we should strife to be each day.
God has given...
..A walking vessel of purity
An unedited version of divine humility
A portrait of genuine human character and
A powerful combination of all the things that matter
Faith, hope and Love…
Beautifully entangled in the wild winds of humanity
The gift of God,
The heart of God
Lighting up the dark paths of life and
Characteristically plowing the weary fields of strife.
It's an awesome find when we meet someone who serves God with his whole being. Your description reveals how great an impression he made on you with his beautiful character. Well done!

I just read Bernices lovely tribute to you, and have been equally blessed by your thoughts for Jonathan. Genuineness is a rare trait in people these days.

I have a son named Jonathan...may he grow up to be like your friend...
I have a friend, actually the orphanage director where my children lived, that I feel much the same way about. He exudes goodness, integrity, humility...He is an honorable man. I hope that someday such things are said about all of my children...
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,

This is more than an ode to Jonathan's virtuous character, this is prayer, a moving, uplifting prayer.
