A crash and bang! A crash, bang, boom! The eerie sounds of pending doom. A wayward boat on choppy seas, The hunger pangs, the black disease. My face is bloody, stained with tears And scarred with ever mounting fears: Will I reach land? Be cast away? Or live to see another day? Will constant aching ever cease? For all I want is light and peace. Shred the sails now! Cut the tether! No more dark and stormy weather.
