Temptations
When temptation calls and you’re not sure what you will do
Quickly call upon the Lord and ask Him to pull you through.
Darkness can fall quickly around your troubled soul
Seeking to bind you from Christ’s love, the love that makes you whole.
These demons are relentless and deadly play for keeps
Enticing you to evil sow, hoping the same you'll reap.
These deceptive, cunning spirits have one dark and evil plan
To smother our light, weaken our hearts and destroy the soul of man.
Yet, despite this world of darkness, there is a ray of light
On your knees you will find your peace and guidance through the night.
It matters not the life you’ve led or the nature of your sin
The Savior's love will embrace your soul, when you invite Him in.
He has never left you child, nor forgotten your troubled soul
Let Him chase away your fears and those things that are most foul.
Call upon Him night and day, in Him a refuge you will find.
His Spirit will enlarge your heart and calm your troubled mind.
For in this world of darkness, there is hope and a ray of light
The Lord of Peace will show the way and make the wrong things right.
So don’t give up when temptation’s near and darkness seems to fall
A prayer away, the Savior waits, to love and comfort all.
