Enemy in the Mirror

Imprisoned in a cell of self-doubt, I'm fighting for freedom, Free me of myself, No escape. Sorting through my thoughts, I can only feel free, there's no end to this self inflicted rape.
Enemy in the mirror, looking back at me. She's out to defile me, Enemy in the mirror Don't smile at me!

Wicked dreams of heartbreak making me paranoid, I'm withdrawing into the void, Abused by insecurities and paralyzed by fears, Running away while fighting the tears.

Enemy in the mirror, I am my own devil, Save me from myself. Enemy in the mirror, I am my worst enemy.

Uncontrolled emotions take their toll, Eating away at me; destroying my soul.

Enemy in my mirror, She's looking back at me. Enemy in my mirror, not letting me truly see. Enemy in my mirror, leaving me no choice. Enemy in my mirror, choking off her voice.

This one goes to a darker place, you could feel the pain and anguish in her words. We all see ourselves I feel in a differant light, as we gaze into our own reflection. Each time we see something differant, it's as though we're looking into our very souls. What does our soul reveal? Pain, stress, lifes cruel realities at times, as we grow older it's as though our face is a well traveled road, worn and weathered by lifes storms. This one makes you look deep within ones self. This one raises your inner emotions. Very thought provoking . I liked it. Yours truly Garry E. Lewis

For many years I was imprisoned ... not by self doubt ... but by iron bars and walls ...
but as strange as it may seem ... I felt free and had no doubts. Isn't that wierd? Bill
