Meggy the cat.

Meggy the cat Lay under the window Licking her paws And enjoing the sun. Suddenly an arrogant fly From outside boomed Over Meggy made circles And through the window zoomed. Meggy thought that the fly Is exactly like birds And to window jumped With all of her legs. But flies use the wings To fall not on earth And Meggy flew down Looking for death. Once more she forgot That she lived so high - Seven lives she still got But to jumping she'd bye.

Hello Jack,

I like this poem very much in its simple lines and light hearted message, really refreshing. Glad it's not "game over" yet for Meggy, the score being 7 lives left.

Oh what a precious photo! Oh the poor sweet kittie, glad she is okay with a few more lives tucked away. Goodness I have seen what they are capable of and sometimes it makes me hold my breath as I gasp! We have three very active little ladies....
