It's the electric impact travelling up your arm, the shock in the sweet spot, just below the third knuckle in your palm. It's your dad smiling, not because he's throwing the ball to you, but because you are throwing it back.

Excellent piece...this brought back a few memories for me...yeh a girl...my dad played with a farm league when I was a young girl, so that made me a sand lot favorite...smiles
