Poem about my uncle who is fighting drug addiction

Lazy M…….. 10/08/08Lazy mutha f***a, what are you speaking

You spend all your change on that one good hit

Only come around when the hunger pains get active

Sleepin off that high right after you numb it

You operate like clock work but can’t tell the time

Always askin mama for $10

But you eat for free and ride a bike so why do you need it

No rent to pay no bills to stress

Ain’t your life lonely or does the white girl keep you company

Thinks he’s royal

Mind is crippled but you’re arms still able so pick up after yourself

You’re not five but your front row grill missing couldn’t justify it

So what really happened

You had the same opportunity as your brother and sisters

But you obliged and took the path towards destruction

What light are you following

Hope it’s beneficial

Now poor sweet mama is determined to reconstruct your shattered pieces

All you do is pain her more that’s a heart you’ve definitely broke

Too late to take control, composures all f***ed up

How could you murder your soul

Your eyes show cold brown with many stories left abandoned

A lifetime of wasted age, 50 years old you sho won’t change

But I’ll keep positivism alive for you

You ain’t shit but that’s ok if that last hit won’t carry you away

Help and love with wide arms will be here

If you do choose to play your own savior

And if not then lazy mutha f***a I’ll pray for you

I have been here-thank God my brother is now a recovering addict, but he took us along to hell and back-this brought back painful memories. Raw, real and necessary writing.
