Is a significant difference in age a factor to be explained when love takes the stage or should the negative connotation be announced estrange

My voiced opinion says f*** the ten years of wisdom he has on me

I just request that he passes the knowledge on to me

But a fraction of this world doesn't admire it like me

His name is immediately slained because a young thang caught his hearts attention

But she’s not the typical 20 and he's not the average 30 and somehow one day they found a common ground to be proud of

That began with a friendship of purity and honesty with respect for each others minds and beliefs thrown in the mix

Sex never being a raised issue that line forbidden to be crossed because who wants positions and orgasms to define their existence

So they gambled on restraint and gut feelings to carry them through minor disputes that no longer deserve recognition

To keep their motivation traveling through and beyond the undeniable sexual tension and overpowering life discussions

Because they had confidence in their destiny...should age be allowed to determine their destiny?

The closed mind limited bunch would say "yup", enabled to understand

This is just not about a young woman and a grown man

Who met on the club scene or mall, na Grandma introduced the two odds

Unknowingly preparing a blessing to transpire

With the works of power from a different height, patience and time putting in its 8-5

Something beautiful was birthed

So in this rare case can age really be raised in question?

No ones being taken advantage or mishandled, consistency maintains persistent

I've never been in love with a gentleman before

And even though I own my doubts of what really being in love is

The nature of it all encourages my interest to explore what's beyond these walls

Should age be allowed to determine our destiny?

Hell no

But it can be openly discussed between the two if concerns present theirselves obvious

We've both been slow walking our own paths, accomplished a few goals, entered and exited college, had a child made a child, struggled with speech from then to now, been played been delayed, loved once or twice but somehow some day our paths intersected and combined into one as if it were planned to perfection

So when one whispers in my ear "he's just too old for you girl"

I'll respond matter of factly

Age is only significant in the mind of the beholder but when the heart is a factor age is just a number
